The new SL118 from Sanlorenzo makes her mark the moment you lay eyes on her. Her lines are just that sleek. The SL-line flagship recently splashed at the company’s yard in preparation for her final touches before she is delivered to a lucky German family.
Swept back lines make the SL118 look even longer than her substantial LOA,
and also make her rather photogenic as well.
That sleekness belies an interior space that is as large as any yacht in the same class, however. A substantial beam helps to ensure that quality, while the boat’s superstructure was specifically designed to not only keep the main deck airy, but also allow the bow deck to act as its own distinct entertaining area. For example, there is an opening terrace on the bow with private access to the master suite. Side passages in that superstructure are all on the deck-house level, so as to maximize interior space for guests on the main deck.
The attention to guests’ happiness continues on other decks, such as the accommodations level, where large staterooms are lined with acoustic insulation to ensure you can count your sheep in peace and quiet, and on the flying bridge, where outdoor luxury is clearly the main intent.
The boat also has a state-of-the-art biological treatment system for all water onboard, which helps bring her in line with even the most restrictive ecological legislation. That system is a nod to the very element that allows the SL118 to be such an achievement; the sea.
